The Investment Office, under the jurisdiction of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, has set out three routes on how a foreigner can obtain Turkish citizenship by investment. Children born in Turkey to foreign citizens do not have a claim to Turkish citizenship, unless one of the parents is also a Turkish citizen or the child would otherwise be stateless. The automatic acquisition of a foreign nationality does not affect Turkish citizenship. Turkish laws have no provisions requiring citizens who are born with dual nationality to choose one nationality over the other when they become adults. Children born in Turkey of U.S. citizen parents do not have a claim to Turkish citizenship unless one of the parents is a Turkish citizen. The automatic acquisition or retention of a foreign nationality does not affect Turkish citizenship nor does the automatic acquisition of Turkish nationality affect U.S. citizenship.

Obtain a Residence Permit

As soon as you have made your investment, you can submit your application for Turkish citizenship at the Provincial Directorate of Census and Citizenship. In the event of a foreigner’s death, the real estate owned by them shall pass to their inheritors. The minimum investment option is purchasing real estate worth at least $250,000. Loss of citizenship

In addition, the main applicant can buy multiple real estate. Applicants are required to hold a valid residence permit at the time of their citizenship application, and may continue to live abroad as long as they wish. A residence permit will be issued on the day of application.

The residence permit we have mentioned is a type of residence permit special to the application process for Turkish Citizenship. This residence permit is only required for the Main Applicant. Therefore, the residence permit application is made only on behalf of the main applicant. The main applicant can use this residence permit when entering and exiting Turkey if he wishes.
